Week 3 - Lenses and Depth of Field

This week lenses, depth of field, focal length and shooting modes were discussed.



Here are two helpful handouts with further information on focal length and shooting modes.




Students were able to try out different lens adapters for their phones such as those in the kit we have at MMC (also available for a reasonable price at Amazon.)

Reminder: No class next week, 2/19 due to President's day.

HOMEWORK

• Shoot and upload Depth of Field and Lenses Assignment - upload to blog and images to Google Drive - due next class (2/26)
• Read Barrett Criticizing Photographs, Chapter 3 - QUIZ on both Barrett readings, Chapter 2 and 3 next week (no writing due to blog, please study both chapters to prepare for quiz)
